The Aging Life Care Association® (ALCA) is a national non-profit professional development membership organization made up of experts in the field of aging and disability. ALCA promotes excellence through a rigorous Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice and provides its members with continuing education, business mentorship, and interdisciplinary networking among a community of like-minded colleagues.
NSNA members are invited to take a closer look at a career in care management and learn from the leaders in this growing, in-demand industry. Members of ALCA are Aging Life Care Professionals® coming from a variety of health and human service disciplines including, but not limited to nursing, counseling, gerontology, mental health, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, or social work. With a specialized focus on issues related to aging and elder care, Aging Life Care Professionals help seniors and their families navigate the challenges of aging and make positive, informed decisions about the care of their loved ones. Aging Life Care Professionals take a holistic approach to aging with key knowledge areas that include crisis intervention, housing, health and disability, advocacy, family legal, financial, and local resources.
ALCA offers a welcoming, supportive environment for professional and business development through education, community-building, and collaboration. ALCA connects members locally, regionally, and nationally to share resources, stay current on industry trends, exchange best practices, and advance the work of Aging Life Care Professionals.
